Some were taught to me by Gloria and by Mary, the woman who raised us with laughter and folktales and a wooden spoon that never stopped stirring. Others I developed along the way, shaped by the cultures I experienced, the strangers who became family over a shared plate, the quiet miracle of feeding people and watching them soften.Sharing food is a transmission of love.
